Sonship

Every family is bonded by a significant component ‘blood’ and each family is governed by some form of rudimental doctrines that identifies individual families. In the same wise, there is a classical Family in which every other family is embedded. I speak in respect of a Family which comprises of the Father in heaven and the sons (children) whom are the inhabitant of the earth. As a believer, we all share the same lineage, doctrine and belief in which the foundation of our existence after death relies on. The Bible says “Its has been appointed unto once men to die, but after this judgment” [Hebrew 9:27] and the weight of the judgment can only be waived or mitigated by our submission to the Father as sons and acceptance of Jesus [1 John 5:11-12]

Sonship means to be born of God and to have God as our life and nature [John 1:12-13]. A sinner can repent and be born again, so that he’ll be purified or birthed by God and(the sinner) have the life  and nature of God in him, this is regarded as the beginning of sonship. Meaning that, irrespective of your disposition or the gravity of your sins, you can still be born again if you’re ready to submit yourself totally and work in the Lord in all ramification of your life. The manifestation of the glory of God is the true meaning of sonship which can best be interpreted as the Christian’s adoption as child of God. In order to possess the true trait of sonship, you need to improve in Spirit, accept Jesus as the only Son of God, your Lord and Savior, and build your personal relationship with God rooted by your incorruptible love of Christ.

Sonship solely begins with internal conviction and the general acceptance that one is no longer under law but redeemed to receive adoption of sons in Christ which is neither by law nor by common blood, but by God who has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts [Galatians 4:1-7]. As God’s people, made in His image and in His likeness, sonship is solemnly possessing the attitude that was in Christ by attaining the heart of a Son in leadership.

Our hearts must be widely opened to accept every doctrines and tenets that qualify us as sons to God which will as a return, free us from the spirit of slavery and fear of God’s judgment but rather modifies us to adopted as sons of which we are Fathered by God and can joyfully cry “Abba! Father!” [Romans 8:15]. God has chosen us and predestined us to be adopted as sons through Christ so that we can live by His will [Ephesians 1:5] and to enlarge the coast of heaven. We are obliged to walk in Spirit so that it can continuously testify with our spirit as children of God [Roman 8:16].
