Believers’ lives are solely determined by virtue of their purity in hearts and in deeds both physically, spiritually, openly and secretly. We are all bounded by the title of a follower of Christ, therefore, our attitudes, morals, lifestyles and mannerism must portray that Christ. People outrightly concede a wrong perception in their mind that …’as long as I’m not a murderer or an idolater, then I am holy’… Well, there is an iota of truth in that common perception in the sense that you think you are holy, but let us dive into the Scripture and we will get clarity to this erroneous belief. The epistle of James enlightened us that [James 2:10] “For whoever keeps the whole law, yet stumbles in one point, has become guilty of all.” You are not justified of being holy by keeping some of the laws, your holiness is wholly is only justifiable by your ability to keep all laws with the help of the Holy Spirit. Holiness is a Spirit-led action as it is not done by fleshy deeds [Galatians 5:17]
Holiness is the quality or state of being holy. Literally, holy living indicates that Believers live a special set apart life, reserved to give glory to God. Holiness is a way of living Godly life [1 Peter 1:16] ”Because it is written, Be holy; for I am holy.” Our God is a holy Being and we can only operate with Him and see Him only when we also possess holiness [Hebrew 12:14]. Holiness sets you apart from all else, by working towards perfection in purity and been consistent. As Christians grow in Christ, they must continue to be morally pure, without the slightest hint of evil, and being faithful walking in all manners of true just as our God is [Revelation 19:11].
Holiness is a direct task god appointed to all who calls on His name [Leviticus 19:26, Leviticus 11:45b, 1 Thessalonians 4:7]. Christians live must radiate in holiness inwardly and outwardly as this is the only means of working in the Spiritual realm. Your personal relationship with God must be smooth, aligned and a priority, your social relationship with all men must glorify God abiding consciously in all commandments for this is the will of God [1 Thessalonians 4:3-5]
Importance of Holiness
- Becoming a vessel of honor [2 Timothy 2:21]

Remember, as cleanliness is Holiness, also Holiness is Godliness
