“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is pure, making the wise the simple” {Psalm 19:7} but are you really following the laws of the Lord? Are your heart desires equivalent to that of the Lord? Do you really want live by God’s word? How eager are you towards the laws of God?
David said; “I was happy when they said, let’s go to the house of God” {Psalm 122:1} that is a pure craving for the Lord. Feasibility study shows that about 90 percent of believers’ goal is to acquire earthly material, to please themselves, to build houses, to be rich, to find a lucrative job and business {1 Timothy 6:10}, knowingly that all these aforementioned things are a tip of an iceberg in the presence of the Lord. God wants a His people to seek his kingdom first {Matthew 6:33} and He will add all other things we struggle for. God wants a heart that searches for Him and a listening heart, a heart after God’s will, a heart readily to hearken to the voice of God. Just imagine the joy of parenthood when their offspring aides by all the rule, instructions and guidelines layed down, that is what God wants which is why the Bible made it known that there is joy in heaven whenever a man walks in the ways and will of the Lord. Jesus Christ, at verge of death, still obeyed and allowed the Will of God to be done {Matthew 26:39, 42}. It should be clearly known that our will is not God’s Will just as our thoughts are not God’s thoughts {Isaiah 55:8}. The Will of God, though may be difficult to obey but the end result is always of peace and serenity {Jeremiah 29:11}. No one can persuade God, He’s the master planner of all events, we must always fall silent and let His Will be done {Acts 21:14}.
There is no ambiguity, the Will of God is the sovereign plan of God that will happen in the coming hours. The Will of God is ultimately obeyed in heaven and must be done on earth too {Matthew 6:10}. Let there be light was the will of God and its manifestation was that there was light {Genesis 1:3}. The Will of God is presumably an ultimatum, Abram did God’s Will, he became the father of many nations, hence the name Abraham, the Isrealites failed to do the Will of God, they were stuck in the wilderness for forty years, Joshua and Caleb sought the Will of God and they were able to get to the promised land, Jonah ran away from the Will of God, and havoc came upon him until he repented. Brethren, seek not for anything but the Will of God; it is a piece that determines largely one’s destination in life {2 Samuel 10:12}. Whatever it takes should be given even to the point of sufferance {1 Peter 4:19}, let the Will of God lead your life in all circumstances {James 4:15}
In conclusion, God’s ultimate Will is for the advancement of His kingdom {Daniel 2:44}, His glorification, and the salvation and sanctification of His children through Christ His Son, Jesus Christ {2 Peter 3:9}
Stop thinking of God’s Will for your life as a separate plan from His will for His kingdom. God’s Will is a special plan for you and His kingdom
